Journey back to eighteen-century London 

A time when satire thrived. This exhibition ( 14.04.2016 - 07.08.2016) turns back time to focus on one of the best and most famous pictorial satirists,

In his prints Hogarth invented a new kind of narrative sequential art – a kind of comic-strip format. In his dramatic pictures, teeming with detail, he addressed contemporary issues: prostitution, poverty, violence, drunkenness, deceit, self-staging and desire. (Text: National Gallery of Denmark)
